Setting Up Your First Jade Bot

To get your first bot up and running with Jade you will need to have your desired Jade subscription and link your exchange API keys account to Jade

Creating a Bot

To create your first bot, navigate to the Add Bot page found here. This is the page where all of your bot options are set. You can change most of these settings later after you have created the bot, but it’s still important to choose your settings wisely.

Bot Name

Here you can enter a friendly name to identify your bot. There are no specific names you need to choose from, you can name your bots almost anything you desire.

Exchange Account

The exchange account dropdown menu allows you to choose which exchange account you would like to set this bot for. You will see the nickname given to your exchange account, or see N/A if you do not set a nickname as well as the exchange that account belongs to.

Amount of Funds to Use

This is where users can choose how much they would like Jade to trade with for this one specific bot. If you wish for Jade to use your full available amount, you can click the Add All button to instantly allot all available funds.

Standard vs Scalping Strategy

While using the Standard Strategy, Jade attempts to take positions that will yield larger returns with fewer trades. In the Scalping Strategy, Jade attempts to make a high number of trades with smaller profit targets. With the scalping strategy, Jade will likely open and close more trades than the Standard Strategy options.

Standard Strategy Options

There are different preconfigured options for the Standard Strategy with Jade. While these configurations are not guaranteed to make the greatest returns in every market, these preset choices were tested extensively by our team and have a positive track record. By selecting one of these modes, your bot is set to the default settings we have chosen.

Standard Strategy Modes

The modes Slow, Average, Moderate, and Fast are ordered based on how they choose their entry. The Slow option will wait the longest to open a trade in order to reduce losses, while the Fast option will open trades more quickly to avoid missing potential opportunities.

Price Buffer

The price buffer dictates the percentage a pair should Drop before Jade can open a position. For example, using the default value of 3% will wait until a pair is -3% before it will open a position.

Single / Multi

The option of Single or Multi allows you to choose whether or not your bot will trade one coin or multiple coins. Multi-pair trading trades multiple positions at once and has more aggressive safety nets while trading a single pair has a very high safety net. Single pair trading is a slow trading style and requires patience.

Long / Short

Choosing whether you want your bot to Long or Short the market depends on whether you think the markets are more likely to go up or down. Choosing Long means that you are likely “bullish” and think most coins are trending up or due to move up in price. The shorting option means that you are bearish, and Jade will sell your coins in an attempt to purchase them back later. While shorting is often associated with margin trading/leverage, Jade does not utilize margin trading at this time.

Scalping Strategy Options

There is only one possible mode for the scalping strategy. The two main options for the scalping strategy are choosing between Single/Multi coin trading and deciding to Long or Short.
